A Journey from L. N. College to Career Growth: A Reflection on My College Memories

As I look back at my academic journey, I can’t help but reflect on the pivotal role L. N. College, Korua, has played in shaping my career trajectory. My years as a student there, between 2005 and 2008, were more than just an academic phase; they were a time of self-discovery, discipline, and the laying of a strong foundation for the future.

When I first enrolled at L. N. College, I was full of dreams but unsure about the direction my life would take. Like many young students, I was navigating the crossroads between ambition and reality. The environment at L. N. College, however, was conducive to growth. The support of my professors, the collaborative atmosphere among peers, and the extracurricular activities all contributed to my development. What stood out most were the qualities instilled in me: time management, dedication, and the hunger for knowledge.

While the subjects of commerce were demanding, I found them intellectually stimulating, and my professors played a huge part in this. They didn’t just teach us theories; they encouraged us to think critically, question conventions, and connect the dots between textbook knowledge and real-world applications. This nurtured a love for learning that would later guide my path. This is making possible by Mr. Durga Prasad Sarangi Sir. Who is a very popular teacher for all commerce students.

In those formative years, I started to realize the importance of specialization in one’s career. Though I initially enrolled in a general commerce stream, I began leaning towards Cost and Management Accounting as my field of interest. The practical aspects of accounting and cost management intrigued me, and I knew that pursuing this discipline would unlock greater opportunities. My college years gave me the initial exposure to this area, which eventually motivated me to continue my studies further.

After completing my graduation from L. N. College in 2008, I made the bold decision to leave my hometown and move to Bhubaneswar for higher studies. It was a leap into the unknown, but my time at L. N. College had prepared me for it. The discipline I had learned during my college years helped me navigate the challenges of pursuing professional qualifications in Cost and Management Accountant (ICAI). The rigorous curriculum, coupled with the competitive environment, instilled in me a strong work ethic.

My decision to become a Cost and Management Accountant was not just about career prospects; it was about finding my true calling. L. N. College had equipped me with the confidence to take that step, and it was this confidence that allowed me to transition smoothly into the next phase of my career. The skills I had gained in communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving made it easier for me to understand the complex world of accounting and management.

But the journey didn’t end with academic accomplishments. In fact, it was just the beginning. The experience and knowledge I accumulated during my higher studies eventually led me to my current role as an Assistant Professor in a Private Management College. As I began teaching, I realized that my college memories had shaped not just the academic professional I had become, but also the teacher I was evolving into. My students now benefit from the lessons I learned through years of hard work and perseverance.

Looking back, my time at L. N. College was crucial in setting the stage for my career. It provided me with the tools I needed to succeed, both in terms of academics and personal growth. It is not just the lessons in textbooks, but the overall experience, the friendships, and the challenges that have propelled me forward. The memory of my time there will always be a driving force in my professional journey, and I am forever grateful to L. N. College for igniting the spark of curiosity and ambition within me.

As I continue my career as an educator and professional, I carry with me the values and lessons learned from those formative years. They continue to inspire me every day, and I am proud to say that the foundation laid at L. N. College, Korua, remains a cornerstone of my career success.

At Last I will give my special thanks to the Principal of L. N College, Koura, and my loving Shree Durga Prasad Sarangi Sir, Shree Dr. Sashikanta Nayak Sir and all Professors & faculties of the college for their unremarkable contribution in career growths.

Thank You
